Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress, known for parts in the film Hum Aapke Koun. She began her career in the 80s before coming to prominence with her performance in Tezaab, a film where she starred alongside an established actor Anil Kapoor. She next appeared in the movie Dil In which she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. Her birthplace was in a Mumbai middle-class family and began dancing when she was a child. As a teen, she tried her hand at acting, but the majority of those early films were unsuccessful. Eventually, she found success with Indian film and climbed to the top. After her wedding, she took a break in her career before re-entering the business. More recently she played in a crucial part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women living in India. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. Padma Shri - the fourth most highly regarded civilian award in India - was given to Dixit. She also has a reputation for social activism.
